About the Role

As Prilenia is getting nearer to potential commercialization of pridopidine, we are looking for a controller to take ownership of all financial reporting and compliance aspects, as well as to lead the design and implementation of our future financial system.  While the focus will be on the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated reports, tax compliance and setting up the structure for SOX-compliance, there is significant room to branch into financial business partnership with management (FP&A), cashflow management and other topics.

You will collaborate with a highly experienced industry-leading management team, and bring your unique expertise and point of view to help build a new, internal function within the company.
 
This position will report to the Head of Finance.

Primary Responsibilities (may vary)

  • Prepare consolidated annual and quarterly reports for the group (3-4 legal entities in Israel, US, Netherlands, etc.), working with external auditors in PCAOB-level audits

  • Prepare specific estimates and accounts around equity and clinical trial expenses

  • Set internal controls and oversee their operation

  • Manage period closing processes

  • Managing and overseeing external bookkeeping and payroll processing vendors

  • Ensure local tax compliance processes for the group

  • Lead, on behalf of Prilenia, the project to design and select a future financial system (working with external vendors), and subsequently take a key role in its implementatio

Key Qualifications

  • Certified CPA

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a multinational company 

  • Highly fluent English (written and spoken) – native English level strongly preferred 

  • Independent, with positive can-do attitude

  • Excellent project management ability

  • High attention to detail, diligence and reliability, with an ability to see the big picture

Skills

  • Strong understanding of a wide range of secondary data sources and technical data tracking systems

  • Ability to synthesize complex information and identify key insights

  • Excellent project management ability

  • Track record of effective collaboration with IT and commercial functions

  • Ability to communicate data via clear visuals

  • Superior modeling and analytical capabilities using multiple platforms

  • Vendor management experience

Location/Time/travel

  • This is a full-time remote position based in Israel

  • Flexible schedule with frequent calls across Israel, North America and Europe time zones
