About the position:

The Sr. Medical Director / Sr. Director Medical Affairs will lead medical affairs, medical planning and execution for Prilenia. This position is a great opportunity to build the Medical Affairs function in Prilenia in preparation for pivotal clinical results which, if positive, could potentially change the Huntington Disease treatment landscape.
The position will start as reporting to the Chief Regulatory and Commercialization Officer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead medical affairs and provide medical support for pridopidine for various indications

  • Lead the development of the overall medical affairs strategy and the execution of the medical plan for pridopidine, including the development of robust medical engagement strategy with leading physicians, KOLs, neurology thought leaders and key people at public health organizations

  • Build the company’s medical affairs plan including hiring, onboarding and oversight of Medical

  • Science Liaisons (MSLs) pre data readout to develop disease awareness, medical training,
    messaging in support of launch

  • Ensure effective evidence generation, medical education, training and medical communication to drive launch excellence

  • Develop and establish Medical Affairs’ infrastructure, including development of SOPs, best practices, platforms, training and workshops

  • Lead and serve as the medical subject matter expert for internal and external medical education activities, including medical symposia, advisory boards, and steering committees

  • Develop and lead Company’s real world data collection plans, early access programs, investigator sponsored studies, and other medical initiatives

  • Ensure alignment of medical plans with clinical development plans, scientific research and publications, regulatory and commercial strategy

  • Ensure compliance with legal/regulatory/ethical business requirements

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, good leadership skills, efficiently manage time and priorities, and able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Excellent communication and organization skills, including presentations to large groups, facilitation of interactive discussions, and 1:1 scientific discussion(s) with KOLs and/or thought leaders

  • Ability to understand and respond to multiple external and internal customers’ demands, manage and handle conflict constructively required

  • Preferred: experience in presenting and publishing medical information

Location/Time/travel:

  • This is a full-time remote position in the East Coast US

  • Flexible schedule with frequent calls across Israel, North America and Europe time zones

  • Up to 20-30% travel expected including international (when conditions permit)
