Senior Director, Head of Marketing

About the Role

 

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced, high-performing marketer to lead our first commercial launch. As Senior Director, Head of Marketing, you will use your vision, strategic thinking, creativity and executional ability to lead the successful launch of a life-changing brand. You will be the cross-functional launch lead, while designing and executing the marketing plan. 

This is a hybrid global/U.S. role. Your strategic focus will span U.S., Europe and Canada, and you will collaborate with colleagues in those regions on tactics that help support those markets. Meanwhile, you will own full marketing implementation in the U.S.

Reporting to the Vice President, Head of Commercial, this position will build and oversee a small marketing team.
 

Responsibilities

  • Lead global brand strategy and tactical plan.

  • Develop the promotional platform, including global brand messaging and creative campaigns for both HCPs and patients (as appropriate).

  • Understand the treatment journey in key countries, and design our integrated engagement plan across HCPs, patients and caregivers.

  • Plan and implement a full range of marketing programs, materials and tools.

  • Lead the Commercial Launch Team, ensuring cross-functional launch readiness.

  • Collaborate with Market Access on payer engagement and patient services globally.

  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs to lead and execute physician engagement plan, including advisory boards, congress presence and KOL development plan. 

  • Work with Commercial Operations & Analytics to design and execute market research, and develop an approach to forecasting and reporting post-launch.

  • Lead collaboration with Agency of Record and other external partners.

  • Represent Commercial on the Promotional Review Committee and Global Label Committee.

  • Hire and lead junior marketing staff as appropriate.

  • Build and track Marketing budget.

  • Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements in our marketing practices.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 8 years of relevant U.S. and EU5/global biopharma marketing experience, spanning physicians, patients and caregivers. 

  • Broad marketing tactical experience, including a wide range of cutting-edge digital approaches.

  • Product launch experience in rare diseases (including U.S., and EU5 or global).

  • Experience in a small, pre-launch company.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Rare disease and/or neurology experience.

  • Prior participation in product launch.

  • Sales experience.

  • Market research experience.

  • Other relevant functional experience.

  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline.

Location/Time/Travel

  • This is a full-time remote position in the Northeast U.S. (ideally Boston area).

  • Flexible schedule with frequent calls across Israel, North America and Europe time zones.

  • Up to 20% travel expected, including international.
